Thoroughbred sales services

The practice attends many of the major yearling and 2 year old sales on behalf of our clients:

  • Tattersalls, Newmarket yearling and breeze up sales
  • Doncaser St Leger and breeze up sales
  • Goffs Orby and Tattersalls Fairyhouse sales
  • Kentucky autumn sale, Keeneland
  • Goffs breeze up sale, Kempton
  • Deauville August sale, France

Veterinary examinations at the sales consist of a thorough clinical exam, supplemented by examination of screen radiographs if presented , and endoscopic examination of the larynx if required.

Early submission of lot numbers to vets is appreciated, and avoids possible disappointment. Lot numbers given by a client and information gleaned on examination remains confidential. Vendors have the right to know for whom the vetting is being conducted, and can refuse examination of their horse if this information is not forthcoming.

Due to the time constraints on sales day, a verbal report is normally given prior to sale, when any concerns or particular points may be raised. A written document outlining the verbal report may be obtained following purchase.

For further information please contact either James Main or Charlie Schreiber directly or via the office.
